The first non-governmental search and rescue organization of our country, AKUT search and rescue association, developed GÜVENDEYİM “I am safe” application, which was developed in cooperation with “Public Information Technologies” company and started to be distributed since 1 year ago. After supporting English language, it is now updated with new features.

This app is available on Google Play and Apple App Store. Siren and vibration button for emergency use, dark mode support for home screen and URL Scheme option have been added to enable it to be opened from different programs in a safe manner. The siren and vibration feature can be selected from the “Settings” menu as “Continuous ring” or “One time play”.

Mobile installation guide

“GÜVENDEYİM” is a mobile application that helps you by sending your location information to the people you have already designated via text message in case of natural disasters via SMS to let you know that you are safe. At the same time, some basic information about earthquakes, floods and fires; It is also accessible through the program menu. In short, you can think of the app as a mobile disaster guide.

AKUT I’m Safe application does not require internet to use

Perhaps the most important feature of the application is that it can work without the Internet. In natural disaster situations where calls are not possible, the internet is down, and SMS is enabled, the push of a button is enough to share your location.

In the settings section of the application, you can add the phone numbers of up to 5 people who you want to be notified in case of emergency. It is recommended to add at least one of your relatives who do not live in the same city to the program to make it work healthier.

This application, which is charged by the operator with the standard SMS tariff, can operate at different times depending on variables such as receiving the location through the GPS service, the phone brand model, and the environment.
