Change of residence permit application for foreigners

One of the applications in the real estate sector is for foreigners who rent a house. A foreigner who comes to Turkey and rents a house can get a residence permit for up to one year.
Obtaining a residence permit in very favorable conditions was discussed in the real estate sector. The important letters of this section, stating that this right has been granted by investing 100 thousand and 200 thousand dollars in many countries, drew attention to the examples in the world and demanded the regulation.
The real estate sector wants change
Ömer Faruk Akbal, President of the Overseas Real Estate Development Association (GİGDER), spoke about selling and renting housing to foreigners in Turkey. Ömer Faruk Akbal first mentioned in his statement the right of residence permit granted to foreigners. Akbal said that a large group of people had received Turkish residency applications, asking for details and talking about what needs to be done.
“A foreigner who rents an apartment in Turkey will be given a one-year residence permit,” said GigDER President Omer Farooq Akbal. No country has such a procedure. But it is issued to those who have a work or study visa. Or with a meeting program of 300-400 thousand dollars, they get such a right. We should also give this right to those who pay $ 150,000 to $ 200,000 instead of rent.
Emphasizing that not all those who come for citizenship come, Akbal said: “If a residence program is implemented in this regard, the audience that goes to Dubai can be attracted to Turkey.” Ekbal also said in his speech that half of the houses sold to foreigners were rented and out of 58,000 houses sold to foreigners, 30,000 units have been rented again this year
