The opening ceremony of this cup, which is number one in football at the level of national teams and is held for the first time in one of the countries of the Arab world, was watched by 60 thousand fans.
The opening ceremony featured a local dance show featuring nomadic tribes, featuring world-renowned actor Morgan Freeman, and invited the entire world to gather in Qatar.
After a dance performance by local artists, South Korean BTS singer Jungkook and Qatari singer Fahad Al-Qabisi performed the official song of the FIFA World Cup, “Dreamers”.
In the opening ceremony, the message was given that the purpose of football is to come together as a tribe and the world is a tent in which everyone lives.
The ceremony ended with the speech of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamid al-Thani, Emir of Qatar.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also attended the opening ceremony.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18 with the participation of 32 teams. Qatar is the first Arab country in the Middle East to host the FIFA World Cup.
